About Insto Reels
Insto Reels is a lightweight web tool that helps you save Instagram Reels in original quality — straight to your device, with no app installs and no account required.
Why we built it
Insto Reels started as a small side project in 2024. We kept running into the same problem ourselves: Instagram has no "save" button for reels, and the downloader tools that existed were either full of pop-ups, required installing sketchy apps, or added watermarks to videos that weren't theirs to mark. So we built the tool we wanted to use — one page, one input box, one download button.
How it works
When you paste a public Instagram link, our server asks Instagram for the public post data — the same data your browser receives when you watch the reel. We then hand you a direct link to the original file on Instagram's own servers. The video never passes through or gets stored on our infrastructure; your browser downloads it straight from Instagram.
Our mission
We believe creators deserve simple tools. Whether you want to archive your own reels, study a viral creator's edits, or share a clip with a friend offline — Insto Reels makes it a one-click affair.
What we don't do
- We don't store the URLs you paste.
- We don't keep copies of the videos you download.
- We don't require a login or any personal information.
- We don't add watermarks to your downloads.
- We don't support private accounts — and we never will.
How the site is funded
Insto Reels is free for users. The site is supported by unobtrusive advertising, which covers hosting and development costs. There are no paid plans, no premium tiers and nothing locked behind a paywall.
